| My Little Sally Hey everyone! My husband and I bought our first Yorkie, Sally, in April. We are in love! She is now almost 8 months old. I may be rushing things with her hair, but when will it start growing? She is very straggly looking right now. The hair on her back is not changing colors yet. I am not sure what kind of coat she has either. The hair on her head is very soft and silky, but her back hair is kind of wirey. I am wondering if this hair will become silky later?? |

| If it's wavy it's probably a cotton coat. I can be wrong, but I think by 8 months the coat won't change much.

| hair From lookng at the pictures, she seems to have a more wirery coat. Usually that coat grows slow and doesnt get very long. I think she will stay black and tan also. She is very cute and looks so sweet!!!! Lynn |

| After reading some of the posts here, I also think she may have wirey hair. I had no idea when looking to buy one, that I had to pay attention to the different coats. I wanted a tiny little long-haired Yorkie, but I got a 7.5 pound wirey-haired one!! Too late now! We would not trade her for any other Yorkie in the world. I have enjoyed looking at all the different pictures here at YorkieTalk. I raise Labradors and figured that these little babies would be like labs...all the same basically, just different sizes. |

| This may not always be the rule..but if you look at the second pic, there is a green reflection in her eyes. This is 'supposed' to indicate a silky coat. Her coat may change over time. She is super cute!!
