| Is it normal....? To be so nervous with a new puppy? I wrote earlier about him acting like he needed some karo syrup and after I gave him a dab he was much better...but I am being so overprotective I think I am driving my husband crazy...LOL! I haven't eaten most of the day because I am just a ball of nerves...we just got him today...so I know its the first day...but geez...here is a picture of him: |

| Congratulations on your new yorkie baby! What a doll! It's natural to be nervous with a new "baby" in the house. I am sure he will be fine... but if you don't think he is eating much... give him the karo syrup before you go to bed (just so YOU'LL sleep better!! ) Wishing you all the best with you new pup!

Donating YT 14K Club Member | OH MY! He's a cutie! Yes, having a new pup is like having a new born baby at home...being nervous is perfectly normal. Things will calm down after a couple of days.

| He is so cute! Congrats. I was so nervous the first week I had Teddi and she stopped eating and I got so worried I went to the store and bought every kind of dog and cat and baby food and a whole baked chicken to get her to eat something. It was a hard first week but after the first week everything was normal and who knew she really just like hard dry food! Congrats on your new baby!

| What a cutie! I hope it's normal b/c I was the same way when I first got Lola. I thought I was going to drive everyone crazy...but it's gotten ALOT better. I still worry but not as much and not about every little thing. I also couldn't eat...I think I lost about 5 pounds that first week b/c all I did was watch her . |

| thank you all for your comments. It is good to know that I am not the only one...He is sleeping soundly as I write this...hopefully his first night will be a good one...he will probably cry and not like the crate at first...but it is the safest thing for him as I wouldn't want to squish him or step on him in the middle of the night! Thanks again for all your help! |

| It is totally normal. I've had Aira for 5 weeks now - my first Yorkie and first dog. I did LOTS of research but the first week I was super nervous about dropping her, her getting hurt, the amount she eat, worried that she'd choke or have problems with hypoglycemia - pretty much everything. I'm embarassed to admit this but I was so overwhelmed after the first four or five days I cried and thought I'd made a mistake but 5 weeks later I LOVE her to death and have calmed down completely. Don't worry too much! |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Tell your hubby men worry too. My boys are all grown up, and I still worry about every stumble and cough and appetite change.

| He's adorable and you're perfectly normal for worrying. Their so small and fragile your mind works overtime on all the things that might happen.
