| I think it is a normal thing for small dogs. My grandmas pappillon did this. Her trainer she went to about it, said to try to keep her away from the new ppl when they came over. Or, if you know they are coming have her greet them outside. A lot outgrow this, but some don't. Best of luck with her!

| Oh, sounds familiar... Pepper used to do it more often but still happens to him when he gets super excited - some of them never outgrow it. With him, it helps, when you don't pay attention until he calms down a little.

| I just ask my house guests to ignore Tina when they first come in. We don't acknowledge her until she is calm. She is 2 yrs old and still does the excitement piddle. But when people are purposely working her up, that's when it happens. It is always best to be calm around your dogs, anyway. Otherwise you run the risk of training them to be neurotic.

| Maybe keep a pee pad close to the door? Whenever anyone comes to my house she gets super excited and has to pee. But I have never had your problem b/c she always runs to her pad. Maybe that will help.

| Mindy is also 5 months old and she has the same problem but only when she gets super excited. I also noticed it is best not to address her until she settles and it doesn't happen or just a tiny drop. Hopefully they will grow out of it.
