| so mad right now!!! I cant believe she wrote that!!! I was just on a few websites because im looking for a 2nd yorkie (my baby girl needs a little sister) and I came across this one site "courtashyorkies" http://www.courtashyorkies.com/? and as I was reading through the site I became very insulted apparently someone used one of her pups on a pupfind type website claiming that they could buy her pup for 3-6 hundred dollars. So she writes a disclaimer to let everyone know that this is her pup and she would never dream of selling it for the cheap, this pup would at least go for 4 thousands dollars.... she goes on to say. Then she says something that really eerked me, she says "You cannot get a good quality dog for $400 to $600" I was soo offended by this. I wrote her an angry letter telling her how cruel and nasty I think she is for writing this down on her site, someone who claims to be a loving breeder who cares about her pups seems to me more like someone who only cares about money! I went on to tell her that I have 2 dogs, my little yorkie girl bailey (who I paid thousands for) and my beautiful rescue rottie that I paid $50 for at the animal shelter, and BOTH are of equal quality! I am just so offended that someone would try to say that if you dont spend thousands on a dog it simply isnt good quality! WHERE NOT TALKING ABOUT HANDBAGS HERE!!! WERE TALKING ABOUT DOGS!!! ugh I am SOOO mad!!! |

| I don't like the fact that at the very top of the page she claims to have 27 years of experience breeding teacup yorkies. And what is all that about buying a house that has everything you need to start earning income raising dogs.

| Well I have never seen her site before but she has adorable dogs that look very healthy. Her prices don't seem outrageous to me...about the going rate her in CA. She seems to know what she is doing. I've never heard of yorkies for sale that were under $1,000 here in CA. Maybe in the midwest somewhere but not that I've seen here. I don't think her site is saying you can't get some other type of dog for less at a shelter...that is not the point of her statement. |

| I agree for California some of the prices do not seem all that bad. To me this website screams puppy mill and I bet she is being shut down and will be moving to Colorado under a different name or it could be to cover law suits against her. JMO

| She is a well know, well respected breeder and i don't blame her at all for writing a disclaimer and in most states, you can't get a nice quality dog for 400 dollars. Especially california. if someone happened to do it, they lucked out. |

| I wish more breeders offered such great service!!! I have had a hard time finding a breeder nearby that has either (a) the dog I want; (b) a waiting list with less that 20 people on it; or (c) isn't a shady character...

| OK, so I've been all over her site and read the disclaimer. I think every dog and puppy she has posted is an incredible specimen and I'm sure that you can't get dogs like that for $400. - $600. She seems like a very outspoken person but she is being honest about the standards for the breed and calling them Teacups (I think) because thats the term most people are familiar with. I don't really think the site screams puppy mill. Maybe I need an education about it though. There is no way I can afford one of her dogs and I promise she would think Adie was inferior if she knew what I paid for her but oh well! Adie is a champion in my mind. (Hers too LOL) |

| Just a question...she says she has 27 years experience raising/breeding yorkies. But, then she shows a pic of herself at 38 years old. So, if I'm doing the math right, she started breeding/raising at 11 years old...does that count? When is it considered "experience"? Just wondering
