| How long does it take..... Until your Yorkie is "full grown"? We are going to be bringing our Riley home in 1 week and 6 days and my husband and I were wondering at what age do you know when they are full grown. Our breeder told us that he will grow to be 5 pounds. We were just curious...the picture under my ID was him when we picked him out We pick him up a week from next Saterday...can't wait!! |

| Some stick to their six-month weight, while others keep growing until 2 years. It depends on the yorkie, its really hard to predict, but I think 9 months to a year is average.

| Welcome to YT. He is so adorable. I've heard the 6 month rule too, but you never know. Piper was 3 when we got him and weighed 5 pounds. Now he weighs 6.5 pounds.

| hi and welcome to YT ... I think 6-9 months is a good time ... it is so much fun watching them grow ... save pictures from now and compare them to when he is 6-9 months old ... what a difference ....

| I'd say really they grow till a year. They really slow down at 6-9 months but still I think they're not done till they have their first birthday. Just wanted to add that I've had breeders tell me that their dogs stop at 5 months old...I haven't seen this to be true. I saw some ads that will say this then half a year later you'll see updated pictures and they've definately gotten bigger.

| They usually reach full height at around 8 months but will continue to 'fill out' often until they are 12-18 months. So full height at around that 6-9 month time but not full weight until much later. |

| Mine have gained significant amount of weight from their last checkup when they were 1 year 4 months old! They were 6.2lbs and 4.2lbs then and now they are like 8.5lbs and 5lbs at 2 years old!

| How exciting! We just picked up our new puppy on Thursday. We waited 4 weeks to bring him home. 4 fun filled weeks of planning and shopping! It was just as exciting as bring home our (4) skin babies. |
