| Do you think its just a phase? Susanah has suddenly become VERY clingy. She has to be TOUCHING me at all times. This has just started in the past few days. Normally she is content to just be in the same room with me. She plays with her toys and occasionally glances over to make sure I'm still there and everything is cool. Now she has to be in my lap, on my shoulder, laying on my foot, etc. She used to just play in the bathroom while I took a bath. Now she has to sit on my shoulder while I'm in there. If I'm in the kitchen cooking, instead of playing or waiting on me to give her a bite, she whines for me to pick her up. Instead of sleeping in between the pillows on the bed, she now sleeps on my chest with my hand on her. All of this has started within a week. She doesn't seem sick, she doesn't seem to not feel good. She seems perfectly fine other than wanting to be held constantly. There have been no major changes that would/could upset her. I just can't figure it out. Has anyone else's baby done this? Has it been just a phase? Do ya'll think she is going to be permanently attached to me for the rest of her life?

| Well... not sure if its just a phase or not... However, I do think that giving into her "commands" too much, might start a bad habbit for her... 8)

| I admit, I do give in to her. I can't stand to hear her cry, or see her looking sad....it just breaks my heart. It just worries me because she has always been little miss independent. Now suddenly, it's like she's done a 180 practically overnight.

| The more you give into her demands the more shes going to expect it. My Jewels is very clingy. It is my fault I carried her around in a sling when she was little and continued to coddle her as an adult. It is okay but there are times when I cant hardly get things done. Also she is not social with other people, she is afraid of kids and so on

| My baby was like susannah before and after his neuter... I mean before his neuter he was independant and playful. Out of my 2 boys he was the first to come out of the crate to inspect things, he was the first to go up & down stairs, to go on a leash, etc... after the neuter he became very VERY clingy and it has not stopped (this was FEB 06 he had the neuter) he just never went back to the way he was as a puppy. Now hes always whining to be picked up and cuddled/held. He cries all the time, always sleeps on my lap... I dont know what happened ... it was an immediate change after the neuter.

| Are you going to get her spayed, if so when? I have heard you can do it at 5 months. |

| Yep, she is definitely getting spayed. I went back and forth on it at first, but I think it would be the best route to go.

| Yeah, I think so. I finally got Aubrey done, so I will def. get Dakota done. Its better for them in the long run. And plus if your not going to breed her, why would you want to deal with those periods? |

| I'm having the same problem with Ana. She's 5 months too and always has to be touching me. If I'm walking she'll grab my pant leg and walk with me. If I'm sitting or standing she's either on my lap, shoulder, or feet. I'm hoping it's just a phase!

| Susanah does that too! Ana is 5 months too? Maybe it IS just a phase/age thing then.
