Ive been buying all these cute clothes on here and online all excited to dress up my lil baby and she now hates it... she sits there and is very depressed... i dont know what to do.. we went out today on a walk and she had her cute new pink harness vest on and she was s un happy this guy was like maybe u should take that off of her... I didnt say anything he said im not being mean but I think ur dog feels locked up in those clothes... it really made me think am i hurting her??? what do i do about this??? can i get her used to wearing clothes or should I just stop buying them and sell what i have and settle for bows? i dont wanna hurt my baby

| did you accidentaly pull her hair or bend her leg the wrong way while putting on the clothes? Bailey loves her clothes, whenever I pull out a dress or jacket or anything she goes crazy, but if it takes me too long to get the clothes on or if i accidentally pull her hair she gets sad too... I try to be VERY careful when im putting her clothes on, but at the same time I try to get the clothes on quickly.. |

| I try to associate clothes/harnesses with good things. For example...more play, more fun, more attention, more treats, more praise...you get the point. That really helps for now anyway. I don't know what will happen as he gets older.

YT Addict | Teddy would do that for a few minutes, and then he realized that the shirt wasn't coming off. I try to associate the new clothes, with walking. He loves to go on walks, so if he is wearing the clothes, he will not focus on how much he dislikes them but how happy he is to be walking. Try to associate the clothes with good things, maybe you will have better results.

| Thanks to "JUDY IN WACO AND GIZMO"...my boy Winston got his very first piece of clothing, a cute little vest. I warned Judy that Winston was a nudist...and I was afraid he wouldn't wear it. But I was so wrong...he actually pranced around the house like a big shot, he seemed so proud of himself, he really did not mind it at all...as a matter of fact HE LOVED IT!!! This came as a total shock to me, I never dreamed he would allow it. When I tried putting a bow in his hair before, just for pictures...he hated it, so no bows for my boy. Oh by the way, Winston is not a puppy...he's 3 years old. Poor deprived little thing, he's been naked all these years...ahhhhhh!!!

| I would just give it some time. I've never heard of one being fine with it and then hating it after awhile. Maybe just put something on for a short period of time and get real excited and tell her how pretty she is and give her treats and maybe go on a fun walk or something. Toddlers go through a period where they want to be naked and hate their clothes so maybe Lola is going through something like this.
