| Anyones dog NOT want to sleep with you sometimes? I am dog sitting a friends dog this week and last night at bedtime, Otis decided he didn't want to be in bed with us and decided to go sleep on the spare bed. I'm thinking maybe he's a little overwhelmed by having 2 brothers instead of just 1. I even went and got him and brought him back to my bed and he went straight back to the spare bed. When I woke up he had come to bed with me, but he DID NOT want to start out that way. He's so independent and stubborn sometimes. Does anyone else have independent babies that sometimes want to be on their own?

| Buddy is one at times. When I watch TV in the family room at times he will go into the living room and sleep on the couch or chair alone! I feel bad because I want him with me. When it comes to going to bed, never, he's always right there waiting to be picked up for the night and cuddles right into my chest. |

No Longer a Member | I think Otis is a little jealous, maybe, of the friend's dog hanging around. Did Otis say to you, "why don't you sleep with your new favorite doggy instead" all sarcastic like? LOL |

Yes, I wondered that, they are sensitive little souls aren't they? But he's done it before. His personality is so much like mine, I think he just likes to be alone sometimes. I have to stop myself from freaking out thinking he must not feel good or something's wrong.... He's fine, he just needs some "otie time"!!

| Momiji always wants to sleep with me but she is not allowed. But my last dog, she was allowed to sleep with me or any of the family member but after hour or so she decide she wanted to be alone. But she always came to my parents bed in the morning to give morning kisses!!! (my parents wake up before me so she went there first and came to my room!!!) |

| Hoku sometimes doesn't want to sleep up on the bed but I insist since I don't trust her wandering around my bedroom while I sleep

| Mylan, Connor, Pixie and Kera sleep with us. Sammie likes to sleep in a small puppy bed under our bed. She does stay in our bed until the lights go off, then she wants down. And in the mornings she wants back up to give kisses! I used to worry about it at first, but I've come to realize that this is what she wants.

| Loki starts off on his bed in the bedroom probably 1/2 the nights. He ALWAYS ends up next to me in the morning. Sometimes I go get him if I want to cuddle and sometimes I just leave him alone, especially if he's hot. I can tell if my dogs are hot because they will sleep stretched out on their sides. When they are cold they will sleep curled in a tiny ball.

| Siu Pao sleeps in his own bed usually beside my bed but there were a few times we tried to bring him up to our bed to sleep and he doesn't like it. The slightest movement or touch when we are asleep wakes him up. Now he doesn't even want to come to us when he knows we are carrying him to our bed. He just gives me a look that says, "Mom I am tired after a day of playing. Leave me alone please".

| My Tino is so very independant and loves to find his own sleeping spots...until about 2 am when he realizes he'd rather be snuggled and jumps into bed with Daddy. Mommy and Lola.

| Murfee slept cuddled with me every night from the first night I got him...until I went into the hospital for 2 weeks and then when I came home we moved into the new house. Now he won't sleep with us anymore. He sleeps in his napsak next to the bed. I have even tried putting the napsak on the bed. He jumps up to see us in the morning or when he wants to go out but he won't sleep with us anymore. After three years of cuddles....I am so sad. Patty |

| When I got Izzie, Bella would sit on the floor beside the bed and stare at Izzie and I in bed. She actually went into the family room and layed down on the floor. It was the most pitiful thing ever. Until then she had always slept right beside me. I had to go and get her and keep her there the first couple of nights. It's OK now....but it broke my heart in the beginning.
