never seen that before but seems like a gimmik to me. Id much rather have the dog go outside on real grass, but you can still put that thing outside hmmmmm it actually seems like something I could use as I have my dog do his deeds on the concrete terrace.

it mentions the pee, but what about the poo??? Wouldn't it get stuck to the fake grass!!? eww - I would have to wash it after ever "time"

I wasn't planning on purchasing it cause it costs too much. It seems simple enough to make. I'm trying to make plans for the winter months cause I know I'm going to dread going outside. She will pee on the pads but not poop so I was wondering if this would make any difference. I didn't think about the poop getting stuck on the "grass". I guess I'll figure something out....

I like that - it looks easy to make, it's certainly cheaper than pads, and if you wash it off well once a day, it's clean.

Now, if you could only teach him to poop in it!

I have been asking my husband to make me one of these for our back patio FOREVER...maybe I should just buy it here.....hmmmmm....

I don't get it.. what's the purpose of it?

You still have to use pee pads... so you'd still have to deal with the pad. I think it'd be more difficult to touch the grass (gross in itself), change the pad, deal with the bottom thing.

It is mostly a novelty-type product for city pups who don't have their own grassy yard to do their business...I saw this service on a pampered pet show.

Shortly after I got my 2 guys, I started house-training them. As they were older, and Pad trained, I was having problems inside. A Trainer told me they were confused about what substrate I wanted them to use. She suggested leaving a tray of grass in their pen when I went out. When I said I had no grass in my yard, she suggested a tray of gravel.

Well, Cora won't walk on any surface that is the least bit pebbled so I knew that wouldn't work. I decided to build a miniature Patio for them. I used a plastic tray that was made for potting plants, and had a bunch of patio bricks cut down to 1/2" thick.

We usually leave it in the bathroom just off our bedroom when we go out. They can get in there from their pen. Last night, we came home from the movies and there were 2 little pee spots on my mini-Patio!!
