| Kingston's finally HOME! We finally picked Kingston up today! He's been doing great so far. A lot of napping. He ate lunch, peed once and I didn't even notice til I saw a puddle. He is everything I wanted and more! He is playful and so friendly. He has such a cute face too! I already saw at least a dozen yorkie head tilts today He loves his new bed and his favorite toy is this petstages toy I got for him that makes a crinkle noise. I put in the freezer last night. Right now he's moved on to a free frog toy we got from Tinkerbell's Closet. I love my breeder! She is so nice. She sent me home with his favorite toys, a baby blanket with his fur-mom's scent, his favorite treats, a lot of food, and a ton of other stuff. She gave me his AKC registration papers, some tips, a long list of Kingston's quirks and favorite things to do, and vet records. However there is one problem that can't be solved until the end of August - early September and that is the heat. It is super hot in my apartment right now. Our central AC is broken and we've been trying our best to keep him cool with fans and frozen bottles of water. He napped next to the bottle and licked the condensation when he woke up. I think it's still too hot in here. What can I do to keep him cool? What are the signs of a heat stroke? I know that they pant when they're thirsty or hot. I don't want him to have a heat stroke. We also have a vet appointment early tomorrow. Anything specific I should ask or expect on a first visit? Attached are some pictures of him. I TRIED to get a good picture, but he kept moving. I also took some video of him which I'm in the process of uploading. |

| Kingston is a cutie. Sorry it is so hot with the AC broke. Maybe try putting ice cubes in his water bowl or if he gets too hot give him a bath in cool water if he seems like he is panting excessively and getting too hot. |

| congrats! he's adorable, putting ice cubes in his water is a good idea, try crushed ice though, not the big cubes. he might choke if they're too big

| Hi, Kingston looks like a doll. He's real cute. Reminds me of my younger dog when she was his age. I think that theatstroke symptoms are panting heavily and maybe frothing at the mouth. If it gets real bad, the dog may pass out. Sorry it's so bad without your AC. Hope the vet will give your some tips on how to cool little Kingston off. |

| What a little cutie! Congratulations! I'm sorry it's so hot in your apt. and the AC is broke. I would refrigerate his water and add ice cubes to it. I give mine distilled water, as my vet told me it's better for their eyes. I have to refrigerate it because my little guy likes his water COLD. I think there are puppy cooling pads that you can buy for them to lay on. You might want to google it and see what you come up with. You could also give him a bath to cool him off if he seems overheated. I'm sure the vet will be able to give you advice too.

| Kingston Congratulations on Kingston he is a little cutie. I bought my little one a cooling collar for the hot weather. I bought mine at pet smart. I know they sell cooling vests online. As for the collar you soak it in water for about 30 mins and it bloats up then put it in the fridge for 15 mins then put it around their neck and it keeps them cool for a couple of hours. The collar has a velcro attachment so you should be able to make it small enough for Kingston. j

| Hes cute. I love the website. Good job. HTey only thing I can say is just run the fans towards him and not directly on his bed, but to a spot that he can move to. |

| he is a little darling! Maybe one way of keeping your little one cool is soaking one of his little T-shirts in cold water. Goodluck with your new baby..i have still got 6 weeks or so to wait for mine!
