| Yorkie-Friendly Shopping [Other Than Pet Stores] I wasn't sure if there was a thread up already about this, but I thought it would be fun, interesting, and informative to let everyone know about yorkie-friendly shops that you have come across. First off, I have successfully brought Eloise into Target a few times, even before I bought her carrier. I heard some people saying that Target does not allow this, so you may not want to take your chances. What I have experienced though is not only customers commenting on my baby, but just about every worker I had passed. Secondly, Old Navy. I have successfully brought Eloise to a few different stores, the first time before she had her carrier. The staff would come right up to me, showering Eloise with compliments and being super friendly. This was definately a wonderful experience. As for a complete shopping center [ ], I have discovered The Mall at Partridge Creek, that debuts October 18 of this year in Lower Michigan. I'm absolutely thrilled about this one. It's about time that Michigan got more upscale shopping, and a FREAKING DOG FRIENDLY SHOPPING CENTER! WOOT! [The title has been hyperlinked to the Mall's website] |

| I take Lacy pretty much everywhere with me..I usually just carry her in my arms. These are places I can think of that we've been to: Hobby Lobby, Joanne Fabric, Bed Bath & Beyond, Linens n Things, Crate & Barrel, the local Pottery Painting place, college textbook stores, Target (before the stopped allowing dogs and a couple time recently but snuck in), Blockbuster, Old Navy, all the stores most malls I've been to (no food courts), small boutiques, James Avery, Bath Junkie, the local alterations place, Home Depot, Ross, Goodys, TJ Max, Tuesday Morning, Cingular Store, Kohls, Shoe Carnival, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue, Dillards, Macy's, JC Penney's, Express, Victoria's Secret, basically she goes anywhere that isn't a restaurant or a grocery store or a place that sells food. The only time we've been asked to leave was once at Target when they stopped allowing dogs and once at the crappy mall in the small town where my parents live (only mall I know that doesn't allow dogs).

| Oh MyFairLacy! I've yet to bring Daisy with me to the mall..gotta do that soon. I do take her to Target and Babies R Us all the time. She's usually always in her carrier (purse). I didn't know that Target didn't allow dogs...anyway, she's NOT a ''dog''..she's a furbaby! I think as long as no one sees her or hears her, she's fine in her carrier. I take her to many places...eateries, shopping, etc.

| Some restaurants do allow dogs on the patio. Lacy has been to On The Border several times and to a Mexican restaurant in San Antonio on the Riverwalk. She's probably been to a couple more..just can't remember right now

| I've taken either Piper or Penny (only one at a time) to Lowe's, Home Depot, Office Depot where they asked me if Piper was a dog. Duh! no he's a cat. I've even snuck Piper into Walmart's. I don't know what the big deal is. Their so little their not going to do something bad. |

| Turbo goes to Starbucks with me out here in Tokyo, and to the mall. The local mall is more like a HUGE dog show! Dogs everywhere! Allowed into any store as long as they are being carried. I love it! Oh, and the Outback Steakhouse out here (Tokyo) allows dogs in too! But they have to be in a carrier.

| In my neck of the woods, Factoria Mall does NOT allow dogs, but the PetCo inside of it does. How does that work? Petco has an outside entrance. Bellevue Square Mall does not mind dogs as long as they are in carriers or are being carried. I don't see any big dogs strolling in there. Again, that mall has a dog store called Urban Dog, where most of the dogs hang out! I take Gracie in to Michael's Crafts all of the time, as well as Lowes and Home Depot. A lady at the park told me that Bartell Drugs is pet friendly as well. I also take her in to my UPS Store. I rent a box there. The guys have never said a word.

| Charlottesville, Virginia has a bricked over Main Street pedestrian mall. You can eat outside with your dog on a leash at most all the cafes - high-end and low end. Some keep water bowls filled at all times. Lot's of people walking their dogs. Fun to people and dog watch, until Maxwell starts barking uncontrollably at a particular dog. We cannot figure out why it's not ALL dogs, just 1 in 10. |
