And no energy, I love that my Ruby girl loves to play and run around, afraid she will not be no fun just a couch potato?? |

| I don't know about them gaining weight after spaying. I have a small female and I am waiting untill she is 10-12 months before spaying her.

| Biddy did not gain any weight after spaying. Her energy level was exactly the same (high!!). I didn't notice any changes in her whatsoever...

| My friend have 2 spayed Yorkie girls and they are not couch potatoes . The only way a dog gains weight after been neutered or spayed is lack of activities . |

| I had Maggie spayed when she was right around 6 or 7 months old. As an adult she weighs 4 pounds 1 ounce...without a bit of fat on her. She's way too busy to gain any weight! This is a dog with responsibilities!!! I think the thing about gaining weight applies to cats more than dogs. If anything Maggy is too skinny. |

| Ihad many dogs spayed and castrated and only one gained weight and that was only because we fed her too much ! If the choice is between weight gain and sparing her from cancer later in life I know what I would choose. |
