| Actually, guarding food is extremely common in dogs - it's a matter of survival in the wild, after all. The nice guy doesn't get to eat. The good news is that it's treatable. Here is an excellent article that should help you (the whole website is excellent): http://www.clickersolutions.com/arti...ctguarding.htm Good luck and let us know how it goes!

It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | How old is Bandit? If he's still young get him used to having you near his food by placing small amounts from your hand on the floor for him to eat. when he accepts that. Use his bowl and place it in the bowl and remove it until his accepts that. Then he'll know that the food isn't going away. Good luck
