I'm New!I want to thank all of you. I fell in love with the Yorkshire Terrier YEARS ago and I have yet to get one due to the road blocks we receive every now and then but I am finally back to the point now that I am ready to have one. My initial search was what every dog wanter usually does. You look at the pictures and try and find which ones look the cutest...and then it stops there but, with the help of this forum I have been able to start looking past all the cuteness and dig deep into the sellers asking them questions about everything under the sun ( thanks to you all). Before browsing through this forum I never would have thought to ask about 99 percent of the questions you all have advised to be asked. For that very reason many of the cute yorkies I was interested in, I have looked away from simply because the breeders tried to overlook my questions or sidetrack me with other explainations that had nothing to do with what I asked. I say all this to say, THANK ALL OF YOU for helping me open my eyes and view the bigger picture. I really appreciate it.

Thank you. It is definitely turning out to be a bit of a long journey. I am waiting until I see that puppy that I just HAVE TO have and so far it hasnt happened. I have seen really cute ones but none have jumped out at me. It seems Yorkies are almost non-existant in the Raleigh/Cary area. All of the breeders seem to be toward the Charlotte area. There are definitely a couple of pets pictures that I have looked at on the forum that have jumped out at me. Too bad they already have owners lol.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | If you're getting a puppy though, it will look completely different anyway once it grows up. So you can't let that sway your decision too much. You'll know your baby though when you meet. It's just one of those things your heart knows ... |

I do have a question. There is a pup that I am seriously considering purchasing and the seller has stated that she gives the shots herself rather than the vet. I dont know what to think of that or if there is any difference. can someone please help me with that. She is a female and is the middle pup in the pics. I think shes adorable.

Thanks Chachi. Having someone on this forum saying alot of breeders do it themselves makes me feel a bit better. She also says she supplied the VIAL. I have no idea what that is as well. I want to go and visit the pup on Sunday so I am trying to get as much information as I can.
