YT 500 Club Member | Omg!!!!!! So Armani was outside today, he wont leave the patio in the back alone usually, except today he ran out onto the grass, of course I ran after him, let him run around for a little. Then took him back inside. I left for work. My mom says as she was getting ready she glanced into the yard and there it was, a HUGE FOX!!!! I am frantic, what if he had been there for the 3 seconds Armani was there by himself? I called Animal wild life control and they say they wont come and relocate, that I can do things to deter it from being in our yard!! UMMM ok, I think that a little piece of meat running around it is what got it to come over in the first place!!! SO I am trying to find a company that actually comes and traps them and moves them elsewhere. I am so pissed, ok I understand not relocating the fox, how about ensuring the safety of my puppy>? What about the safety of the other dogs surrounding our yard? I am gonna try to get the neighbors to help pay for the relocation services, if not I am paying it myself!!! SOrry just had to vent!

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Sly Fox! Is your yard fenced? Maybe think of a privacy fence. I think Fox are pack animals...if there is one there is bound to be more especially if she is a female. I would also google fox and see if there are things to run him off??? DNR is useless when it come to protecting the family pet. I had a similar problem with a Hawk. I looked up Hawks and found most will not attack a small dog. They only hunt when they are hungry and usually go for prey in the open and I live in the city. I called DNR they were like noooo hawk wont touch a pup. So I get a pic of the hawk now preying my bird feeders and picking off mourning doves left and right off my bird bath. Im like what the hell??? How many birds can a hawk eat in a day???? I send the pic in to Michigan field and stream and they said it's a Coopers Hawk. Come to find out the Coopers Hawk is one of the few Hawks that kills for the FUN OF IT!!!! Not just to eat. Greaaaaat. Now I stand right over my babies when we are outside and can I just tell you at least once a week we going screaming after our dogs yelling theres a hawk a few doors down circling we scoop up babies and into the house. Even my kids are now aware of how to watch for Hawks and to scream and ghet dogs immediately. We battle this weekly and its a pain in the butt. I wish you the best and a private relocator may be your best bet, but I would research if they pack year round and what the odds are there is only 1 so you dont waste your Money removing one to have another one prancing thru your yard..

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | HOW SCARY, Tatiana! I'm wondering if there is a such thing as "repellent" or something. I think they make something to keep deer away and other creatures - but I wonder if there is something you could use in your yard for a fox. Or a scarecrow!!?? LOL.

YT 500 Club Member | O he wont be going anywhere until that fox is out of there.. I dont think I even wanna take him out there even If I go with him, I would never take even the smallest chance lol. ME and that fox would have a go at it if she tried to come near him, I think I could win too, U never know the type of strength u have until something like that happens lol. LETS HOPE IT NEVER DOES!!!!!

| That's scary! I am glad you spotted that fox. That scene was too close for comfort. Good luck in getting it relocated. |
