YT 2000 Club Member | what craite is best for yorkies? I am getting things ready for when I get my lil guy. My mom has already gotten a lot of things for him so I really do not need to get alot of things myself. I was wondering what crate I should get him so that he has his own place to feel safe. Any suggestions or recommendations? I was at the Petco store today and I didn't lke what I saw. |

| the crates that have the dividers are the easiest. You can give them enough space to sleep/turn around and once they're potty trained, open it up to give them some more room. I prefer the wire ones to the plastic ones. They usually fold up nicer and there's more 'openness' to them.

| I use on of the black wire crates. They seem to like those better than the plastic traveling ones because they can see out better.

YT 2000 Club Member | Thanks for the reply, I was looking for the black wire ones but didn't see them at Petco. My mom uses them for her two girls and I like them a lot. I want the puppy to feel safe and be able to see what is going on around him. I like the openness of it too. I wasn't sure about the plastic ones myself. I am clostiphobic so they just don't appeal to me |

| Do you have a Petsmart nearby? If not, you might have to check online...I'm not sure. I have a plastic one and a wire one and Wobie likes the plastic one. I think because its more "den" like.

| I bought a plastic one too for the same reason... that it's "den" like. Plus it will give him more privacy and I can take it with me more easily if I need to. |

YT 2000 Club Member | We have a pet supply plus and a petco here, but a short drive we would need to do to go to petsmart. My mom likes petsmart's prices so she said that it's worth the drive! I was going to go check out the Galligers Feed store that is down the street from me and see what they have too They carry some of the brands of food that allot of YT recommend so I wanted to check out their prices! I might end up getting one of each and letting Jeter pick out the one he likes best when i get him home. |
