thanksgiving diet? We fed our Yorkie some Turkey and very little ham & she's been throwing up about 4 times in the last 24 hrs, but has stopped in the last 8. She's a year old and weighs about 5 lbs. The last vomit had some pinkish stuff in it? What should we do? We called the vet and they said if she continues to vomit, bring her in but she stopped.. too much human food?

I have heard that Turkey is not good for dogs Maybe she had just a little to much new food. Also there is lots of salt in ham. I'm glad that she has stoped throwing up. I know it is very scary. I hope she feels better tomorrow.

Yes, too much human food (especially with a lot of salt) can upset a Yorkie's stomach. Welcome to YorkieTalk marinamaggie, I hope your baby is better now...

| Welcome to YorkieTalk, Marinamaggie!! Yep, I agree, your baby probably had too much of the "good stuff"! Be sure she drinks a lot ... they can easily dehydrate. Tell us about your little one ... name, age, etc.

Last year Otis had a ton of turkey and didn't poop for two days. Needless to say, I didn't feed him too much turkey this year. Hope your yorkie is feeling better. If she's still throwing up, give her some Nutrical to make sure she's getting some nutrients, at least.
