| Should I use a Collar? I know that you aren't supposed to walk your dog with a leash connected to its collar and ur supposed to use a harness, but does that mean you can't have your dog wearing a collar? Does the risk of trachea collapse mean that the use of a collar is completely off limits. I don't want to buy her a collar if I can't use it. Thanks!!

| There is a lot of debate about collars. You will get a lot of good information. My dogs DO NOT wear collars all of the time. They are inside 99% of the time and when they are outside they are supervised. When we go on trips they wear their harnesses with tags attached. If I lived in an area of high dog theft or if my guys were outside a lot, they WOULD be wearing id 24/7 365 whether on their harnesses or with collars. |

| Mine wear collars 24/7. If you start young they get used to them. They go outside to potty so they are outside a lot. They are chipped but a neighbor would be most likely to find them if they slipped away. I'd rather they call us right away than have to take them to a vet to read their microchip. Most non-dog people have never heard of a chip and would never think to do that. Their tags clearly have their name, our phone number, "Microchipped" and "Needs Meds". Loki has our address on his tag but his tag is bigger. I like this tag the best! http://www.boomerangtags.com/store/list.php?A=S&ID=25 A Yorkie got lost in our neighborhood a few weeks ago and someone found her and stopped by to ask if she was ours. She had no ID. Luckily we knew there was a family a few houses down that had a Yorkie too, but the guy who found her had no idea!

| Both mine wear their collars all the time. They have a habit of running out the front door to great guests (they do run right back it but you never know) and I just feel better knowing they have identification on them.

| Mine wears a collars all of the time with his ID on it. I used the harness to attach his leash to when I take him out, but her wears the collar also.
