| Brea was so good I took Brea to a graduation open house today. It was a ways away and I didn't want to leave her in her crate for that long, so I called my brother and asked if it was ok to bring her along. I gave her a bath and dressed her up and put a bow in her hair. She looked so cute. I just wasn't sure how she would do with so many unknown people and a bigger dog. (Rott. mix) Well, from the time we got there, she was visiting everyone. She was being held almost the whole time. I had to snatch her away so I could let her go potty. She was SO friendly and calm. People kept commenting on how calm she was for a small dog. There was a 4 yr. old girl there who appeared to have Down's Syndrome, maybe. She was SO interested in Brea - she would scream with delight when Brea came near her. Brea played so nice with her. People were taking pics of them together cause it was so cute. When those people were leaving, the mom thanked me for bringing Brea because her daughter had such a good time and it was a really good experience for her. Her daughter didn't want to leave without the dog! So that was a warm fuzzy for me... I know how much I enjoy my dogs and it was so nice to see so many others enjoying Brea, especially the little girl. This pup is a blessing... It sure would be a different story if I had brought Tinka along! |

| I imagine how come you could be proud of your furbaby. It's good to have nice comments. Most of the time people are thinking that small dogs are monsters.

| Sound like you had a good time Teri. Brea is a special pup and sounds like she has some talent with special children too! Good for her and good for you for taking her with you on your outing. I'm glad that mom let you know that she appreciated Brea's interaction with her daighter - that always helps to make you feel more comfortable when you've taken your pet somewhere. |
