| Weird Teeth??? I was watching Lulu chew on a toy and noticed something funny about her teeth. Her bottom, I guess you would call, them canine teeth. She has two sets one set is inside the other. I hope that makes some type of sense. I tryed to take a picture but couldn't get her to stay still! Well I guess I am asking if anyone has heard of this before and is there something wrong?? I appreciate any feed back!

| Well that is no problem she problem has both her baby and adult teeth. Which you would want the baby teeth to get pulled asap so there isn't any problems with her teeth in the future especially with tarter build up. do you feed her dry or wet food? |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | There's nothing wrong. That is because her adult teeth grew in but her baby teeth did not fall out yet. London has those too. You can get them removed by surgery.

| Rebel has the same problem and is having his baby teeth out on 6/5/07. He looks like a little shark right now. I don't think it's that unusual, but it's scarey for them to be anesthetized to have them removed. Rebel is 9 mos old and weighs 4 lbs.

| Sukoshi had the same thing, only on her top teeth. 2 complete rows! She had 10 baby teeth pulled (9 from the top and 1 from the bottom) when we had her spayed at 7 months old. It didn't phase her a bit. |

| CoCo had three teeth on the top that were doubled, but I have been letting her chew some sticky chew toys, and been playing tug-a-war with her, and one of the top ones fell out last night (YEAH). It did seem to hurt her at all. The other two retained baby teeth are loose and if they don’t fall out in the next week or two then I am probably going to go get them pulled. I am worried though because she retained her milk teeth while her adult teeth came in, that she will also retain her canines. I have been playing lots of tug-a-war, and letting her chew on lots of bones, and soft and sticky chew toys. She doesn’t seem to mind playing, and getting crazy, so I just keep playing with her. She is 7 ½ months old, but her baby teeth didn’t even start to come in until she was 12 weeks old, which is late. So her adult teeth are coming in much later too. Hope everything goes well, with the double canine. I am praying CoCo does not get it, because I don’t want to put her under yet. :*-I |

| I know that it seems scary but it is better for your pup to have them pulled. In most rescues that come in we have to get their baby teeth and even adult teeth pulled at 2 years old because their baby teeth didn't come out and infected the adult teeth because of the tarter build up. So you definately want to have them removed. The sooner they come out the better for your pup. Yorkies tend to have bad teeth and need to have dentals every six months or less if they start having bad teeth at a young age which can cost $150 or more for each dental cleaning. Also there is this great chew that my little ones love it is an all natural mint rawhide made by beefeaters which will help their teeth get clean and make them stronger. |

| CHato has 8 canines too. I was wondering the same and I called the doctor she said this is normal and that if in two months the baby teeth do not fall out they will have to be removed. Eri |
