| Checking in! Hi! I have been reading this forum for a few days now,and thought it was about time for me to register and introduce myself! I'm Ophelia (or "O" for short) and my Yorkie's name is Paddington. I've had him for exactly 24 hours, and already I absolutely adore him. He is not only my first yorkie, but my first puppy ever. I'm sure, after the way today and last night went, that I am embarking on quite the adventure, but I am so happy to have Paddington as my sweet companion. We haven't had any problems so far.He seems to sleep in his bed at night (I'm a big softy and can't bring myself to put him in his Kennel, and he behaves so well in his little bed!) He gets along WONDERFULLY with my eight month old nephew (I was concerned about this at first, but the baby is amazingly gentle with Paddington, and the puppy just thinks he is the greatest!) I feel so badly because I can tell that he misses his litter mates. I bought one of the little red dogs that can be warmed in the microwave, and he loves cuddling with that, it seems to help. Any and all advice is SO welcome! My great aunt breeds yorkies, but she is all the way in Florida, so I am kind of figuring things out on my own (and with books and wonderful websites like this one!) -O |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Congrats and welcome!!! You will find a lot of good advice on here and great people. The 2 tips I have are make surer he is eating often enough so he doesn't get low sugar ,hypoglycemia and if you think something is wrong call the vet.

| I think I've figured out how to post pictures! If it doesn't work, they are all on my blog(www.ophelialoved.blogspot.com) Here's Paddington! He was really sleepy during his "photo shoot" so he looks a little out of it. I have more of him when he's awake, but they are all on my camera waiting to be put onto the computer. -O |
