| I did crate training when both Rhapsody and Tiger first came home. Worked great with Rhapsody, and as soon as she was trained she was allowed up on the bed with us at night. I can't even imagine them sleeping anywhere else. And I've actually woken up and gone hunting for them if they aren't on the bed, lol. Lol, on these occasions, 9 times out of 10 they are asleep in either my daughter or son's bed.

| We got Murfee really early...he was about 7 weeks. What did I know? Anyway, he slept with us from the very first night and has ever since. He's 3 now. If he would wake up and start moving around I would get up and take him out and bring him right back to sleep. I know I am lucky but he never peed in the bed...not even once. Good luck with your new little punkin. |

| I think it is your personal preference, however when they are new its best to crate them for potty training purposes. Izzy slept with me for a while but I put him back in the crate because he moves around too much. I heard that once they sleep with you it's hard to go back to the crate but, I actually did not have a problem. The night I put him back he looked at me funny then curled up and went to sleep! LOL

| I have my three in bed with me and the hubby ! I started with pulling down my pillow a wee bit, and putting Tara when she was a tiny puppy, in bedding behind my head, and then I would put her on the floor to wee on her pee-pad if needed.....then as she got older, she went under the covers herself ! Now we have two other Yorkies as well, and the three of them are never crushed by either me or my hubby - they seem to know to get out of the way. They are all 4lbs. If they get too hot, they migrate to the top of the covers, but one thing I would say - they do break your sleep with all their walkabouts in the middle of the night - you end up lifting covers semi-conscious in your sleep ! ......and then the minute 7am comes they lick your nose, ear, and eyelids trying to wake you up for breakfast time !!!! .....even on lie-in days ! | Jake sleeps with hubby and me, all snuggled up against me. When he was still a baby, he would wake me up to let me know he had to potty. I'd put him on his pad and he'd go, then he'd snuggle up against me and go right back to sleep. Now he can get up and down himself so he will get up and go if he has to, but most times he sleeps through the night and gets up when my hubby is getting ready for work. |

| You know, my hubby wasn't too excited about it at first!! But now...oh how he LOVES her to sleep with us. So you never know, your baby may just change the mind of your fiance.

| When we got Conner, he was so small. He slept in a playpen by the bed with a weewee pad in it. He would use the pad at night. That lasted about 2 weeks, then he was wining to be in bed with us. It was taking longer and longer for him to go to sleep. We finally gave in before he was completely trained. He would kiss our faces nonstop if he had to go potty, which was almost once every night while he was still small. Now, he very rarely wakes us up to go potty. He sleeps under the covers and rarely moves once he goes to sleep. He has to be close to either me or my husband.

It's a Yorkie Thing Donating Member | My Duke sleeps with me. I also have a cat that sleeps with me and my husband. They trade places a couple times a night. We don't have any trouble with it.

YT Addict | I have slept with my two lovelies since day 1. And I was lucky because neither three of us are heavy sleepers and we don't move around at all. So Teddy sleeps next to my stomach, and Theresa next to my legs. And as far as pottytraining... they did have accidents when they were in the bed with us... but somehwere down the line it clicked for them and they learned that when they had to pee they would jump down and pee on the pee pads, and then jump back on the bed and go back to sleep. It works really well for me! Ashley

| we got tobey at 8 weeks and he slept in the crate until he was potty trained. He would whine when he had to go, so we knew when to take him out. we just put his crate on my nightstand facing me so he was really close and could see me/us. around 12 weeks he started sleeping with us but wasn't as good about telling us when he had to go. No accidents or anything, he would just go to the foot of the bed and stand there until one of us woke up and notiiced him. He couldn't jump off the bed because it's too high. then while I was on vacation for a week when he was 15 weeks, my husband discovered that if he put tobey on the ground, he would go right into the kitchen to his potty pad, then come right back. When I got back we figured out how to make a step so he could get on and off the bed by himself. Now he just hops down when he needs to go and comes back when he's done. its WONDERFUL!!!!!

| Lexie sleeps in my bed every night. She cuddles up next to me and even lays her little head on the pillow. (like she owns the place!!)Despite our housebreaking issues, she has never once gone in my bed!! (Thank God for that!!)
