| PLEASE HELP, Kamari just hurt her leg.. I know there have been many stories on here about puppies hurting their legs. So maybe someone can help me just to relieve my puppy of some pain. Kamari (4 months old) just fell off the bed trying to jump on Kodak. My bed is not that high but she's tiny. I was changing clothes and as I bent down, she leaped instead of using her pet stairs. She has never hopped off the bed before, I think she got excited when she saw Kodak. Kodak woke up and came in the room and she just jumped. I saw her moving and she was falling as I was getting up so I couldn't stop her. So outside of the vet being closed, I'm going thru the phone book looking for an animal hospital. I have no transportation because I let my brother use my car tonight and he has no cell phone. I want to have the information so I can get outta here as soon as he gets back. She cried for a minute then she limped, it's the right hind leg. She lets me touch her thigh and I moved it around a little and she didn't flitch but she's limping. I feel so helpless. I may be in the wrong topic for this, forgive me as I am desperate. I hate to see mines hurt or any animal for that matter, it makes me tear up.

| Piper did the same thing when she was little. I took her to the vet right away. He didn't xray it after feeling it, but he did keep her for 4 hours. They put her in a cage along with the back room watching her. Turned out she just twisted it. By the next day she was fine. I thought for sure she broke it. Your poor baby, I hope it is nothing serious.

| .....this happened to me at my mother's. Tara was up on the bed saying hello to my mum, and my mum's bed is on stilts, so it is high, and because I didn't get to my mum in time, who had lifted her up without thinking, Tara just came flying over the end of the bed when she saw me come into the room. ......luckily it was daytime, and even though I had just arrived, i left straight away to go the 25 miles to the vet. Tara screeched and was limping too, but by the time I got to the vet and she was examined, she was fine....just a wee shock, thankheavens ! ....so just to let you know, that if a 4lbs dog can survive that huge drop onto a lino floor, then yours might be ok yet ! ....just keep her quiet, and get her checked immediately ! .....so as not to worry too much in the meantime, can you phone your emergency vet and ask for his advice ? .....it might help you to help her ....i will pray for a good outcome....and don't blame yourself, these things happen - and usually only ever the once, as my mum has never taken Tara onto the bed again unless I am there to watch her ! ....i am thinking of you and your baby, best wishes, Debra x x x x |

This is what I'm hoping that she just twisted it and she will be ok. I want to take her in just to be sure, I've even called a few friends to see if they can drive me. My BF is at work right now so I am working on family and friends. She just looks so sad and I feel so helpless.

| My boy has taken a fall off our high bed before but he just yelped and that was it. Until you get her to the vet just keep her from running around & walking to much. Make sure to get a card (or magnet if they have it) for your closest emergency vet so you always have the number. I've stored it in my cell phone - luckily haven't used it since - but it takes a load off my mind.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I have had puppies who have hurt their leg and by the time we get to the vets they have been walking like normal. I hope Kamari is just a little sore and will be fine soon.

| Did we ever get an update on the situation? I am wondering how little Kamari is doing...I hope she's alright, and it was just a little sprain.
