| Grrrrrrrrrrr wood lover! Is it only my girl who does this?????? She loves biting on WOOD! Most of the house's furniture is made out of wood. She loves biting on it, and if she possibly gets a crack out of it, she'll eat it. Why?! why does she love it so much, lol |

| Could this be some kind of Yorkie thing? Our baby girl does this too. She chawed down on our dining room chairs. Finally stopped that when I put bitter lime on and sprayed it with "No" but now she is trying to eat our deck boards. She starts on the knots in the wood and then keeps right on going. We are going to have to restrain her since those boards are chemically treated (yikes!) and we have no idea what it will do to her. |

| I think all of my puppies have been caught gnawing on table legs. It was when Sunshine was teething on the corners of the Grandfather Clock, I was the one who was sick. Now when there's naughty Yorkie chewing going on I tape old towels to the legs of the end tables and coffee table and encase the GF clock in a blanket!!! (In the picture titled "sunnie had fun" the clock is on the far left wrapped in a fleece throw. It was 3 days after we moved here and she was gated off to the living room @3 mos old)

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I would try to break them of the habit quickly. Eddie started having trouble pooping, and I found sticks in his stool. That can't be good for the digestive system. I just started giving him healthier things to chew whenever I found him with a stick. He still picks them up occasionally, but I immediately take them away.

| No, you are not the only one. Cody will find a stick outside and practically eat it! You have to really watch him and constantly yell to him, "Cody, put down the stick!" He has literally made him self sick before to the point that he has thrown up bits of wood! |

| Wesley loves chewing wood too. He always brings sticks in the house to chew on that he finds outside. He chewed my and my boyfriend's longboard skateboards. He also chewed the corners of our wood tv stand. You might want to try Bitter Apple spray to discourage biting on wood you don't want them to. |

| I've been so fortunate that Jake hasn't chewed on anything in the house. I make sure he has plenty of flossies or bully sticks, and he's happy. |
