| Albon For Tearing I've Had Henry For 2 Weeks Now. I Was Reading The Post About Tearing. Henry's Previous Owner Gave Me Albon, I/4 Tablet Evey 48 Hours, Said The Vet Gave It To Her For Tearing. I Did Some Research On This , This Is An Antibiotic. I Am Not Happy About Giving This To Him. I Will Call The Vets Office Ahen They Open, Anyone Hear Of This For Tearing. Thanks Gb And Henry |

Albon is used to treat coccidia. I am sorry but your breeder lied to you. Coccidia is very common in puppies, she probably thought you wouldn't get the puppy if she was honest about it. Coccidia is a single celled organism that can hurt puppies if left untreated. On the bright side, at least your breeder cared enough to treat the illness instead of letting you find out through vet check-up. You should take a stool sample to the vet and get it checked out. If your dog still has coccidia, the vet will probably tell you to continue with Albon. If there is no sign of coccidia, you don't need to give your dog Albon. Your best guide would be the vet's advice. Good luck.
