| Tear Stains? Product: Angel Eyes? Anyone heard of the product Angel Eyes for dogs? I saw this Maltese over the weekend and it had NO TEAR STAINS...and usually these white dogs have them bad (or you can see it the most) but this face was clean of any stains... She told me she uses Angel Eyes which is a supplement you give the dog every morning. My Sammie gets tear stains and although you can't see the color change on his hair....sometimes his face looks wet (like he just got into a water fight) Any experience with this? |

| If you do try the Angel Eye on your dog, would you let me know if it works. I have two friends that have two Maltese each and they have the same problem and they have tried everything on the market including that expensive EYE ENVY that didn't even faze those stains. |

| This yorkie was a year old with NO STAINS...it was incredible. She told me as a puppy, she had it really bad and her face was so dirty but the Angel Eyes cleared it right up. You can buy it on the internet..not expensive I'm just worried about putting "supplements" in my pups |

| I,too, have tried Eye Envy without seeing any results. The only thing that has helped my Maltese mix is Nature's Variety food. Good luck~ Tammy |

| I did a quicky search to find the ingredient in the Angels Eyes and came up with this; Angels Eyes is Potassium Tartrate. It says to mix with water. I looked up the Potassium Tartrate and it said when this form is mixed in water it forms Potassium hydroxide. That is pure beef liver. Anyway, look at a health food or vitamin store and see if they carry Potassium Tartrate and then all you do is mix it with water. It may be cheaper than what the Angels Eyes sells for at $28.99. |

| Eye Envy was like throwing my money out the window! I tried the angel eyes and noticed a big difference in both my yorkie and my maltese. Then I discovered Tylan which is the same antibiotic in angel eyes and is much cheaper without a fancy name. It shouldn't be given every day but over a period of time of three weeks, daily. I had them on it for about three weeks and now they are off and so far so good, not stains or red boogies have come back! JMO and experience. You can see my babes in my avatar.

| I looked for the Tylan and found it to be anywhere from $40.00 to $50.00. That's a bit pricey. It's also an antibiotic, where as the Angels Eyes is a mineral. One of the minerals that's in bananas. |

| I have Tylan from the Vet - I have it for TJ - if and when his IBD acts up. Tylan is very safe. I also bought the 'large bottle' of Angels Eyes, b/c Roxy was tearing sooooo much and red tear, the whole nine yards! Anyway, I bought the big bottle and when all was said and done with shipping it cost me $80. I only used it one day for Roxy, b/c it was the same time that I decided to switch TJ and Roxy to eat Nature's Variety Raw. Ever since I switched their food - and since I stopped giving them Nupro (just like Missing Link) her tears turned clear and just about stopped running like a faucet. So, I can't say whether or not the Angel Eyes work or not. For Roxy, I believe the Nupro was the problem. Anyway, I have the 'big' bottle of Angel Eyes if anyone wants to buy it: $55 including shipping (it cost me $80 with shipping - I only used 1/4 of teaspoon for one day - so the bottle is full ) PM if anyone is interested in buying it... |

| Try adding Apple Cidar Vinegar to their drinking water!!! Has to be in its purest form and you can get it from any health food store! Angel Eyes, you can get from Petedge for 19.99, but its more of an sntibiotic for your dog. I wouldn't give it to them for too long. APV also has many other helpful uses! I belong to a Biewer forum, and that is what most of them use to keep the eyes nice and clean! I have been using it too, and I am really starting to see a big difference!!!!
