| Ok, wait one minute. This is going to be an 8wk old puppy? Not UTD on shots? When are you planning on taking vacation? If its when you just get the pup that is somewhat unfair as the puppy is adjusting to leaving her mom (and littermates) adjusting to your new home/environment and then leaving on vacation? Thats quite a bit for a young puppy. Maybe you are planning the vacation when the pup is older and I just missed that part. I work for the airlines, some airlines will allow you to take the pup in a carrier and put it under your seat. Puppy must be UTD on all shots and you must present a vet certificate dated within 10 days of the flight (most airlines are the same). Some airlines limit the number of dogs that can travel in the cabin under the seat. If the dog is traveling in the cargo area under the plane (very safe, heated/cooled/pressurized) sometimes the airlines will have an embargo on pets if the weather is too hot/cold. Each airline is different. I do not know restrictions for trains. |
