| I never heard of them, and just checked out the website but it really didn't have much information. How's your experience w/ the breeder been so far?

My experience with the breeder has been good. The pup I want is $1200 + shipping which I thought was a good price. His parents are exactally what I have been looking for, they are beautiful, dark, and have babydoll faces.

Rae Rae, Partis are not the same as Biewers..here is how it was explained to me when I asked a similar question. The pup in my photo is a Biewer. I BELIEVE (could be wrong) that a parti comes from two Yorkie parents, (just as Biewers do) sometimes these parents are AKC registered. One (at least) of the parents has the same recessive gene as the Biewers do. However...the partis don't come from German lineage nor do they (most times) conform to the Biewer standard...some do have very similar markings and you would not be able to tell if they were Biewer or Parti other than through the pedigrees HOWEVER... most partis I've seen do not have any specific markings, many are splotched or have a lot of white. I have seen some very sad representations on Puppyfind...they look thin, sickly and dirty. Some of the ones I'ves seen on puppyfind don't look like good yorkies at all. I have heard that there are some VERY beautiful Partis out there, nice bright colors, beautiful golds, nice rich coats but personally I haven't seen any. I think the main difference is the non German lineage and the predominately splotched coats rather than a specific pattern to their coats. I don't believe they have a standard set either. I guess there is a lady in Minnesota that has some beauties, I'm trying to get out to see hers. She's interested in seeing a nice Biewer...I may have one or two to show her..teehee... I'm sure someone will post if any of the info I've given you is incorrect. I am interested in how these breeds develope to so it's fun to learn.

Oh ya, one question...I have always heard that yorkies with silky hair are harder to care for than the coarse hair. This breeder says the oppisite. She says silky hair is easier to care for. What do you think??

Buyer beware!! They can show you any picture but that doesn't mean it's the correct one, whether it's the puppy or the parents. I still warn to never buy a puppy sight unseen. I don't know how far you are away from that breeder, but it really doesn't matter. You can either fly there and see he set up and all the dogs and puppies, or find an AKC breeder close to you.
