| Gross Gross Gross! Percy won't stop eating kitty litter! Help! Ugh, I just don't get it. Percy has yummy food that I spent a lot of time researching, and he actually does like....and Missing Link sprinkled on top..all fresh everyday yet...his first choice of food is anything that is in the litter box. Why why why? I have tried several things to get him to stop. I gave the cats For-bid, but one of them was getting sick from it so I had to stop that....I moved the boxes, but he still worms his way up into them. I have to keep the boxed so the cats will still use them, so my options on where to move them are limited. Percy is also a climber and a jumper....so that is making it harder.... Anyone go through this as well? It is totally gross and I *really* want to cut him off. Are there any foods I can give the kitties to make the poop yucky...well to Percy at least....

| Yes, my Maggie did this also. I use scoopable litter and keep up on the daily. She is now almost 10 months old and doesn't go in the littler near as much. I am hoping by the time she is a rip old age of 1 she will be over it alltogether!! |

| My laundry room, on top of the dryer is where the cat box is. All my dogs love kitty crunchies. Makes me ill. None can hop onto the dryer except for the kittens. They don't seem to mind. I just move it when I am doing laundry. Works for my zoo. LOL

I tried putting the box on top of the washer....fussy cats won't jump up to go...ugh.. I thought I heard something about sprinkling meat spices on the cat food and it makes the poop taste bad, but I can not remember the exactly what it was.

| Everclean is a great cat litter that trap odor really good, Phoebe did that ones and she got in trouble for it and she knows she is not allow near the cat litter that is a big NO NO, now she don't even try, the cat food too but I still have to monitor her on that but she knows not to touch the cat food too they like it because is very high in protein. Try to use like a water bottle to spray , or a can with pennys. |

| If it makes you feel any better, both of mine do this and I have never owned a dog that didn't do this. I find it completely disgusting!! I, too, am constantly cleaning the box but somehow, they still find a way. We have talked about putting a baby gate up so the dogs can't get into the bathroom but the cats can still jump over it. I am hoping that this will solve our problem. Good luck on finding your solution, too! Tammy |

| there's medication that you are able to sprinkle over your baby's doggie food and once he tries to eat kitty poop it will make him vomitt and it will make him think twice on eating it...i think you do that for a week and it saids if he doesn't stop to double to doseage in his doggie food and it works wonders for your baby. NO MORE EATING KITTY POOP !! |

| I had this problem when Toby was still with us. I solved it by buying a larger Rubbermaid tote box at Walmart. The kind that comes with a lid. At one end of the box lid I cut a large hole for my cat to get in and out of it. The edges because of the material aren't sharp but I still took duct tape and put it around the opening. She jumps on the one end that is solid and climbs in to use it and then climbs back out. Toby could never get anywhere near it because the tote is so high on the sides (plus the lid) there was no way Toby could get to it but there was plenty of room for Bailey (my cat) to use it. It works perfectly! |

| Cat litter is dangerous for animals to ingest expecialy scoopable kind.It can swell in there bellys leading to blockages.I would keep it away from all dogs that eat the pooh,up high like some suggested.

| You could put a gate across the door where the kitty litter is so the cat can jump it but the dog can't. |
