I was just wandering at what age does a yorkies hair atually start to get long and look more like an adult yorkie. Her hair is to short to be put up and i was just wandering when her hair would be long enough to be put up.

I think that is hard to give a general time line. From what I can see each individual dog has his/her own growth rate.

yeah, i agree. maggie is 5 months old and we put her hair up every day. but then again, she had lots of hair at 11 weeks and we put it up then too. so, i guess it just depends on the dog. now...maggie is just over the last few weeks started getting some of the adult hair coming in. it is much silkier and easier to manage. I would say she starting getting that at around 18 weeks.

everyone told me "in due time, in due time". it's true...it will happen before you know it. then you will be like me and wondering where the time is going and why your baby doesn't have that puppy fuzz and look like all the other little bitty babies. uh..it's cuz she's growing hehe

it's sad.your baby will grow and have the long hair very soon.

i just can't remember, it seems like we went from puppy fuzz to mats in no time, but it must have been about 8 months maybe 6 months-and she really started getting her other coat in-and we had to trim the puppy fuzz off-b/c it was matting up her cotton coat.
