I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | There are Biewer Yorkies, what you would call "Red Leg" Yorkies, Chocolate Yorkies, and Parti Yorkies - although the Red Leg, Chocolate, and Parti's (I don't think??) are not recognized by the AKC.

| I never knew it but I guess there are also different coats for yorkies. Mine mats up quick, and the groomer called her a cotton coat, instead of a silky coat, she said it was a defect of the breed-but I love her just the same. I have seen the biewer's on here, didnt know what they were until I was surfing around on here...they are pretty cute though. |

| Basically there is only one type of yorkshire Terrier. There are some variations in color and coat texture, but there is no separate catagory for them. they are all just yorkies. |

| Coats... I'll never know the difference between them... Maggie has a very soft and thin hair w/ waves, but it doesn't mat too badly... On the other hand, Hannah has a straight and thicker hair that mats horribly , and Hannah's breeder told me she had silk coat... I always thought silk coats were very straight and didn't mat easily... I just don't know anymore... Katiuscia & Maggie & Hannah... |
