Coat seems awfully thin?? Duke is my first Yorkie. He is 13 weeks old. His coat seems awfully thin to me. Is this normal? His underneath especially. Not just around his 'privates', but just in general. His head, his chest, legs etc seem thin. We it get thicker as he gets older? He does go back to the vets on Saturday (rabies and distemper shots) He seems lively and healthy and I have no problems with him... just seems a bit sparse. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Mary Lou

Both of my boyz had thin, scraggely looking coats for the longest time and they both have slow growing hair although Jo's is much slower than Riley's. Now they are 2 and 2 1/2 and they have wonderful, long silk coats that don't tangle so there is hope!

Thank you for sharing, they are adorable the third photo in is about what Duke looks like, Duke's fur might be a bit longer. I'd love him even if he was bald... but i was just wondering (plus the guy in the pet shop made what I thought was a rude comment. Asked if I got him at a puppy mill, because his dogs coats were much nicer !! I won't shop there again, that's for sure
