| will yorkie and lab puppies be good brothers Hello... We have a 5 month old male yorkie named rocky. He is our first pet/child. My husband and I are in love with this little guy. We had a 6 1/2 week yellow lab puppy fall in our laps this week. He was bought by someone who decided after three days that they were not cut out for a puppy. We decided since we have a big yard that we could provide a good home for the little guy. Has anyone had any experience with yorkies and labs?? They have been running around the house chasing each other and biting at each other...i cannot tell if it is all play?? My concern is when the lab puppy gets bigger...I dont want him to hurt the yorkie. Right now the yorkie seems like he is boss. My yorkie is 9 lbs at 5 months..so not too tiny...but I dont want my little angel to be in any danger... |

| I have a lab puppy and a yorkie puppy. My lab is around 14 weeks and he weighs 25 lbs, my yorkie is 22 weeks and weighs 2.8 lbs. They love to play but the lab hurts the yorkie sometimes. I can not leave them alone, I have to be constantly watching because even though he don't mean to hurt her he is so much bigger than her and he steps on her. I have to lock him out of the back yard and let Hannah out to play. I have a golden retriever that is over 1 year old and her weighs 70 lbs and he is so gentle with her that I can trust him. But the lab puppy is still too young to realize. I think that when he gets a little older that he will be more gentle but right now it is not a good time for them to play with each other, even though they love each other so much. Good luck with yours. |

| I love that picture. They look like the same size. They will probably be ok together. My yorkie is 2.8 lbs and lab is 25 lbs so he is so much bigger than her. The first pic was 6 weeks ago-the labs weight has doubled, the second pic was 2 or 3 weeks ago. |

| I have a 95 lb. lab and she is Tooties Best friend! Tootie is a big boy of 16 lbs and holds his own with her fine.... I have to be very careful with Hope on the floor when Laci is inside just so she doesnt accidentally get into one of their wrestling match... Laci will TIPTOE around Hope and is no problem at all, she is such a gentle giant... Today, my grand-dog, 3 month lab pup, was here and it was not pretty for Hope, she was scared and had to stay UP away from Callie.. Tootie had a blast, she is about the same size as he is... good luck! They will do fine, but YES, always watch and never leave them alone together.... d

| your pups are really cute!! i have left them alone together a couple of times in the last few days since they are the same size right now and the yorkie keeps the lab on his back most of the time...but i know that will end soon when the lab gets bigger. we are crate training the lab starting this week..so they wont ever be alone together without the lab being in a crate. i am hoping since they are both puppies and will be growing up together they will learn to play nice. we will see!!! |

| I have a 65 pound lab/pit mix and two teeny yorkies and they LOVE each other. lol And cohen (my mix) plays so gently and sweetly with the little babies that I don't know what I would do if I didn't have him! In fact, Lotte prefers to play with Cohen than with any little dog. haha

| I think as long as they grow up together, they'll be buds for life. |
