| My baby got hurt I took my 8 month old 3lb yorkie to my sisters house yesterday and she had a lot of company. I did not take my eyes off "louie" for 1 second and held him most of the time we were there. The one time that I did put him down I noticed that he was holding his rear leg up and would not walk on it. He does not cry or wince when i touch it, but he will not put it down and walk on it. I was told not to panic and to wait a day or two to take him to the vet because he probobly just has a little bruise or something. Has anyone had this kind of experience before....is it something I should be very, very concerned about? Like I said...he at no time cried out to indicate that he had gotten hurt, and he does not cry when I tough or manipulate his leg. I dont get it, but I am very very worried about him and if he continues this today i am taking him to his vet tomorow. If anyone has any ideas or has had a similar experience I appreciate it if you could give me some advice. thank you. Louie's Mom |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh poor baby - it could be a LOT of things - stepped on something - someone stepped on HIM...he could have jumped off something - it can really be a number of things and I would take him in if he still does this 24 hours later and get him looked at just in case.....Hope it's something minor - but better to be safe than sorry ! |

| I hope he is alright. I would take him to the vet just in case to make sure everything is alright. Do you think something maybe in his paw?

| Louie's Mom, I'm so sorry Louie is hurting but, try not to worry too much. Just watch him today. Hopefully it'll just be a minor sprain or something. Bo sends kisses!

| Jack did that about a week ago, and on investigating I found a very small piece of gravel between the pads of his paw. I hope this is something as minor.
