| Meeting big dogs Glad to hear about you folks meeting big dogs while out and about. I've been going to training classes and the leader said to not worry about meeting dogs while out walking, but Scarlett is so friendly and would go right up to a dog.....do you usually cross the street to avoid them or what??? I'm happy to know others worry about this too. |

| I never walk alone either, my hubby is always with me, (he is a big-tall man) and fearless too, we are always on the look out for big-mean dogs, my husband always pick Pheobe up, I also have mace with me all the time. We have a very nice park , the park have a rule that all dog most be on a leash, but one day a lady was walking her 3 dogs with her with out a leash and one of her dogs (pit-mix) was coming after us, she was calling and calling him and he will not obey her, she got very mad at the dog and finally he obey her and she took off. Several people complaint to the park adm, and they told her that ,they are going to take her yearly pass away if that keep happening.Thank God. |

| I live in the city. And one late night, I was walking Britney. As we were passing this large dog, he managed to slip out of his collar. I was looking and got Britney up pretty quickly. Needless to say, I told the owner a few unkind words.. esp. after he told me "It's OK!"

| My husband and I were walking our two dogs, Lucy our yorkie, and Daisy our Lab. We were at Irvine Regional Park for a walk. All of a sudden we hear screaming and around the corner comes a charging Pit Bull. I snatched my Lucy up and held her in my arms that were crossed over my chest. The Pit Bull ran by me (even though I was Bracing myself for an attack) and attacked our Lab. Daisy held her own, she is 70 lbs., then the Pit Bull went into more really rough play than a full attack. I was screaming, but the park is so big and full of trees that sound does not carry. No one heard me or came to help. The Pit Bull owner yelled obscenities at us!!! Can you believe? I would have had my say too, but he was NUTS!!! Both the dog and his owner were out of control. We stay where there are people in the park. We don't walk on that trail anymore. |

| I do the same with Mace, I carry it on my keychain. I had 2 dogs chase me right into my car. I had my cell & called the police. They came & called animal control. They found the owner & wrote him a ticket for his dogs being loose.
