| She escaped!!! She escaped from her confined area 2 days in a row.... I have no idea how she does it because the pet gate I have has only bar. (So she can't clime, I thought...see the attachment) I thought maybe I left the door open yesterday but when I saw her this afternoon I knew I got escape artist on hand...... I guess I just to have to buy taller gate now... She is only little over 2 lb and maybe 11 inches long girl.... Any suggestion???? |

| she could just be jumping over it. I have a baby gate up for my girls and my Bunny who is who is about 19 to 23 inches tall, when standing on her hind legs, can jump over it when she feels like it. A taller gate should help, But if she is still growing.. I would buy one that would also work when she is full grown as well. |

| Pixie jumps over baby gates also... She's a good jumper. But from my reading, yorkies in general are good at this type thing - that's why they're so good in agility and other obstacle competitions Keep that in mind when buying a taller obstacle...

| My Rebel weighs 3 lbs at 6 months and he goes THRU the holes in the baby gate if it's stretched too far. (that makes the holes bigger) I have to be really careful to just pull it to the opening of the porch so the holes are too small.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | You wouldn't believe the size hole Pixie got through. I swear a hamster couldn't fit through it, but my dtr put her back in to see what she would do and sure enough she squirmed out this little hole.

| Mine can jump through any puppy gates that I have had enough. Since he is pretty reliable on his potty, I let him have a free run of the house when I go out.

| escape artist I was still trying to decide on a name for my yorkie girl when I had almost decided on Houdini as she escaped her x-pen (24") after 2-1/2 days at 8-1/2 weeks old. When I got home she greeted me at the door. So I put up a 36" baby gate & voila...she got out of that one too. So I put her back in & watched & saw she was climbing up the bar & climbing over the top so I turned the gate around & she seems to stay in now. Not sure for how much longer though. By the way her name's not Houdini it's Maggie & she's now 13 weeks & I luv her to pieces! |

Yorkies are amazing. Not only are they super cute and smart; they are also super agile and do not have a shy or fearful bone, in their little bodies!! My Mickey, jumps like a kangaroo, climbs like a monkey, has the courage of a lion and the attitude of a super diva. Gotta love them!!! | |

| yeah she's jumping. I actually taught mine to jump higher. the higher the gate te better she got. mine can jump high enough to hit the top corner ( where the gate meets the wall) then uses her back legs to push herself over. |
