PuppyFind.com I just submitted a suggestion to puppyfind.com regarding mixed breeds. I can't believe how many Yorkie mixes are listed under 'Yorkies'. I am always browsing listings...(true addict here) I thought it may be more appropriate for them to have a Yorkie Mix sub category under Yorkies. This way those that are looking for a Yorkie can go see just Yorkies and those looking for something mixed with a Yorkie can go into Yorkie Mix. Is it me or are there more Yorkie Mixes that don't look like Yorkies at all??..There is one on puppyfind that is all black, another one that looks exactly like a shih tzu...if anyone wants to help push the issue, just go to Puppyfind.com click the 'Support' tab and email the suggestion. Just had to vent. Hugs, Irene

Great idea Irene! Like you (and I'm sure many other YTers) I spend a ton of time on there. That's a great suggestion. I'm really impressed with their recent improvements. I love the new "search by state" feature. It seems like every ad I used to look in was on the opposite side of the country, and now I can just look in my state and the surrounding states. I'l definitely suggest that to them also.

I bought my yorkie through puppyfind.com, and the lady was posing as a breeder...i later found out she bought my baby from a puppymill and then was passing them off as her own. My puppy has a lot of health problems because of where he came from. He has a congenital liver shunt that might not even be repairable because of where it's located. The health certificate and his shot record and his papers don't match up at all. She didn't send the right paperwork and she didn't even send the contract or bill of sale. It was heartbreaking. If anyone does buy a dog from that site, just be very careful and try to stick to somewhere you can drive to and actually see. I have been on there since then, and I love the changes that they have made. It does look a lot better

I think the suggestion made to the website was great. There is also a wonderful website called petfinder.com for anyone interested in a rescue dog. There are occasionally yorkie and yorkie crosses on there.

Ok I must be completely overlooking it. Where is the search by state? I would love to just look in my area but can't find that feature.

No, unfortunately she didn't make it right... She didn't return our phone calls and then she changed her number...I googled her name and I found out this had happened to other ppl after me with the same supposed breeder. She's nowhere to be found now.
