| Choosing a Groomer I think Tucker is ready for his first professional grooming, but I have no idea where to take him. My vet advised I avoid the groomer that is nearest to us. She recommended one in the next town (only about 13 miles from here), but I'm afraid he'll ruin his groom by getting car sick on the way home. Also, she said that is where she refers her mange patients for grooming (Ack! and Ick!!) We recently got a PetCo in town and I know they have a grooming salon, but I haven't heard anything good or bad about them. How do I just turn my baby over to some stranger? I'll be a nervous wreck! Also, what do I ask for as far as a style? I'm leaning toward some kind of "puppy cut" and saving the growing out for when he is older and more patiant with daily grooming, although I would like enough on top for a top knot (boys can wear bows, can't they?). I know I want his male area trimmed as I hate to scoop him up and get a wet hand, LOL! His ears definately need cleaning up. Do I want his anal glands expressed? He is just over 4 months old. Is he even old enough for a professional groom? He had his last round of puppy shots the week before Christmas. Julie and Tucker |
