Yorkie Xmas Gift From My Dad! - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Wow, out of the blue my dad gave my gf and I a really nice gift for our new kitchen. It's a chalkboard he made from scratch with some pieces of wood, chalkboard paint, and then some kitchen knobs/pulls...and then to top it off he hand-painted a picture of our very own yorkie Otis on top! It looks just like him!

The colors of the chalkboard really compliment the new kitchen and his painting looks just like little Otis! I was blown away.

Just wanted to share...Happy Hollidays everyone!

Wow! Your dad is very talented and that's a gift of love! How touching and it will be forever a keepsake! Besides being very creative and doing beautiful work, he's quite the artist! What fun to open a gift like that! Tell your dad I'm so impressed at his creation!

That is really nice, your dad may want to consider as a hobby selling them for all breeds! He could put them on here,

& ebay and other dog sites, buyers could send a pic and he could just add the photo. Just a suggestion since he is so talented.

What's funny is that my dad never likes to paint people or dogs because he says they are too difficult to capture. Then my mom told me that he started the painting of Otis in the early afternoon, and it was done before dinner!
He said the hardest thing was making the chalkboard part and not the painting itself...how funny!

tell your dad he should sell them...custom through pictures of our babies....i sure would be willing to get one and im sure lots of others would to.....that was a great gift....thoughtful and beautiful.
