| Why No Yorkies On Tv Dog Shows? Would someone explain to my husband and I why we never see Yorkshire Terriers in the dog shows that we watch on TV? We once saw a Silkie but that was the closest to a Yorkie. Thanks! |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | They show the toy breeds first. A beautiful Yorkie named Chandler took second place in the toy breed competition in the national dog show that has been showing on the Animal Planet Channel this week. A toy poodle took first place and only first place winners are allowed in the all-breed competition. Nancy |

| Watch Westminster (on USA) around Valentines Day. They show every breed. Eukanuba is good at skipping breeds. |

| It seems like they don't have the time on the shows televised on animal planet. They sometimes show very quickly what we missed during the commercial breaks though. Who ever is in charge of editing obviously isn't a yorkie fan! |
