| Won't eat when I'm gone..... My daughter told me that their dog won't eat unless they are home. If they put food out before they go to work - their dog won't eat it until they get back home. I told her that every dog I have ever owned was this way....and that it's perfectly normal. How about the rest of you??? Carol Jean |

| Yes, Zena is exactly like that too. I feed her in the morning and early evening but whenever she doesn't finish her meal and I leave it in the kitchen for her she won't touch it while I'm gone. |

| Yep same here! This past March my Daughter and I went away for the weekend for a Cheerleading Comp. My husband said he couldn't get Diesel to eat no matter what he did. He gave him baby food (chicken and chicken broth) soft dog food and hard. Nothing worked. He ended up getting sick. When I came home and fed him he couldn't eat enough. So yeah, mine does it too.

| Rocky is the same way i put food for him in the morning after our walk and he eats and whatever is left by the time i walk out the door, is still there when i get home in the evening. I see it this way if he's hungry he will eat if not he will just play and do whatever so tell her not to worry i think its normal.

| Mine will eat when we are gone. We have left for several days many times and my Brotherinlaw that lives two houses down comes down and feeds them.

| Gracie rarely eats when I am not home, and in fact, she won't eat if I am not in the same room with her.

| Oscar is absolutely that way - I can give him his favorite treat EVER and walk out the door and it will still be sitting where I left it when I come home - THEN he will eat it. Ruthie is the complete opposite - I know she eats when I'm gone. I don't think Oscar does anything except sleep and hope I come home soon.

| I could literally set a bowl of treats next to her on the floor before I left the house and she wouldn't touch them until I got back. |

| Now that I think about it, Lucky is most likely to eat when my husband or I are standing right next to her food dish. She prefers to dine in good company. |
