Donating YT 11K Club Member | I'm SO not patient...I want my London London was supposed to come on December 5th but the breeder told me she is too little now to fly. She only weighs 1 lb and 3 ounces. I thought she weighed more already because when I first emailed her about her she was 5 wks old and the same weight as above, so I thought she had already gained the weight. Now she is going to be 8 wks old but still the same weight? So they said she has to gain 9 ounces before she can fly, probably about 2 more weeks or so. I'm confused as to why she hasn't gained weight from 3 wks ago...maybe they weighed her wrong?? Someone is going to fly with her, because someone else from NYC adopted one of their puppies so she won't be alone. Do you think she will gain 9 oz in 2 wks? I wonder how long it will take.. |

| I think sometimes it's normal for puppies to stop gaining as quickly during those weeks, b/c they're also becoming more active (lots of wrestling with siblings! ) during that period!

| Eight weeks may be a little young to fly away from home.....especially since she is such a tiny little thing. If I were you, I'd be glad to wait a few weeks - until she is at least 10 weeks or 14 weeks old. I know it's hard to wait, but she'll will be much more ready for her trip. Good luck! Carol Jean |

| I'm with Carol Jean on this one. I would wait until she is a few weeks older at the least. |

| I think it's different when you pick up the pup personally and it doesn't have to fly alone... 8 weeks is kind of early for such a trip. I'd wait too (I know something about being impatient, believe me.. LOL )

| Better safe than sorry...(read the sick/injured threads and you'll agree ;0) The day before Lola was to fly to me she got scratched on the eye by her sister. I had to wait a whole extra week! It was pure agony because I was all excited and had plane stats for the next day. It's sooo worth the wait though. You'll have your baby soon.

| My breeder will not fly them until they are 12 weeks. You are better to wait the extra time. Peanut was 13 weeks and did great flying. Good Luck! |

| I know! Waiting is the hardest part. Try shopping for her and the time will go by quickly! I'm so happy you finally found your little cocoa girl

| I hope the time flies by and your little doll gains some weight. With the hustle and bustle of Christmas season, the time should go pretty fast because you'll no doubt be busy, busy, busy! Take advantage of the time you have to wait and get everything done that needs to be done so once she's here, all you have to do is hold her and love her and play with her!!!
