| I am so sorry for your loss. These little guys always find a way into our hearts and become so precious and dear to us. I can't imagine the pain you are going through, it is never easy losing a loved one. I don't look forward to the day when I will have to say goodbye to one of my own. Just thinking about brings so much pain. Only time will heal the heart. Hold on to all those great memories of her and fun times you had together. Take comfort in knowing that Lucy is in a great place now, where she is happy and her young self again. You and Lucy will be in our prayers.

| What an honor and priviledge to be able to love a dog for 16 years! The pain won't leave it simply gets tucked away in a quiet place over time. I still tear up when I think of my Keegan and his untimely death. They're such a joy and I wish I'd had the opportunity to love him for 16 years. You must have been agreat mom.

| Thanks for the prayers I would like to thank you all from the prayers. Today was a bad day. It's hard comming home after work an not having that sweet little face looking up at me. How ever I did have her cremated and she is in the house. She never like'd getting her feet wet...My husband and I have talked about getting another one. Not to replace Lucy, that would be impossible, but to feel the whole in our hearts. Again thank you. Your words really help. Jenny |

| Awww, Jenny, I'm so sorry for your loss of Lucy You are a wonderful Mom to have had her with you for 16 years, she must have had the very best of everything!!! Yes, by all means, when you are ready, do get another furbaby to love. When my Starr died (she was only 3), my husband insisted on getting another right away. I did not want another doggie so soon, but it turns out that it was the best thing for our family. We will never ever ever forget Starr, but Luna fills our hearts back up again. She is so different from Starr, yet she does some of the same things. Plus we learned a lot from Starr's life, and death, that we can put to good use for another baby or two (or three) and help them to have a healthy, long life. You'll know when you're ready, and it'll do you a world of good to have another sweet face looking up at you with love. In the meantime, cry as much as you need to, and remember your sweet baby girl.

| JennyLynn, I am so very sorry that you are hurting. Those of us who have lost beloved furkids know and shaire your pain. You asked what do you do.... for now, you allow yourself to grieve and shed the tears that are there..... You examine the hole that Lucy's loss has left in your heart..... and one day you will have fleeting moments when you will remember the things about Lucy and make you smile -- and your heart will begin to heal. One day you will realize that you are ready for puppy kisses -- |

| I'm so sorry to hear of your sadness. My family had a yorkie years ago and we still feel bad when we think of her. I have to agree with Luna's Mom. I've been a member of several boards for a while and I've heard many stories like yours. It seems that no one ever regrets getting a new dog right away. Some feel that it would be disloyal but as you said, you're not replacing Lucy, just trying to get back some of the happiness that she brought to your lives. It's hard to be depressed when you're with your yorkie. Lucy would not want you to be so sad and I like to believe when the time is right that she'll send you another yorkie to love. I hope it's soon. |
