Please, please be careful today opening the door for kids. Our babies are so small and fast that it takes a second for them to sneak through the door. Put them on a leash or install a baby gate in the door.

Good point Barb! I'd hate to see another thread about a puppy darting out the door and disappearing!

Mine dont run out the door but they bark so we put them up in our bedroom

I wasn't even thinking about that. Mine usually don't run out the door, but they just love kids. I might have to break out the ear pluges for all the barking when the door bell rings.

My 17 year old will be passing out candy. I forgot all about the puppy. I'll have to put the gate up.

Or if you have a screen door, take the screen out and pass the candy through that.

Our trick or treat was on sunday (it's been that way around here for years) It sucks!

Rocky went trick or treating though and had a blast!

Great reminders! Thank you - I wouldn't have even thought about him running out the door. We did purposely not purchase chocolate this year because of Ferdi.

We had Trick or treating Sunday and I put the gate up in the door so they could still enjoy but be safe.

thats a great idea putting the gate at the front door like that...maybe I'll do that tonight for Lady..I know she'd enjoy being able to go to the door and see all the kiddies...thanks for posting that picture
