| Ear Flopping Over Hi, Our Achilles is about 4 months and until the other day, both his ears stood straight up. However, last week, one ear simply flopped over and now refuses to stand. We are wondering if there is a correlation, since just the day prior, we took him in to get his Rabies shot. Any ideas? Does anyone know if it will stand up again? Thanks! |

| I've heard that sometimes during teething their ears will flop over. Maybe the hair on his ears is getting heavier. I wouldn't worry, I think they look super cute with floppy ears.

| Flopping Ear Remi is 4 monthes old and one of her ears are flopping as well. Both her parents have excellent cartilage in their ears so I think it's just teething. They are rather cute with one ear up and one down aren't they? Remi's flaps in the breeze when she runs! |

| Probably due to teething. Just make sure to keep the top third of the ear trimmed so it don't weigh the ear down.

| If you want to make sure the ear goes back up, you can cut a piece of paper bag almost the size of the inside of the ear flap and glue it there with some eye lash glue. I use a glue called Duo you can get it at the drug store. Sometimes they just come back up on their own but I never take the risk. Here is a picture of the paper in the ear. I just put a small amount of glue around the outside of the paper then set it in the ear and hold for a sec. or so until it sticks. Leave it there till it falls out and it should stand again. If it does not stand then keep putting it back in till it does. Good Luck!! Debbie Ray www.sumtoiyorkies.com |

| My puppys were doing this but I trimmed the hair from the ears and taking the weight off has done the trick, they are both up and he's now 5 months. |

| Thank you for all the responses. For those that have trimmed the ear hair, approximately how long did it take for the ears to stand up again? We are going to give it a try! Thank you again, everyone! |
