| I like the puppy cuts. They're cute. From what I've read, you might want to say you want a "yorkie" puppy cut when you go to the groomer, so they don't leave him looking like a chihuahua. I've always bathed mine once a week. It's worked great for me all of these years.

| I bathe mine every week and a half to two weeks. I keep chachi in a puppy cut. I let Jewels hair grow but get it lightly trimed once a month

| A puppy cut is keeping your dogs coat similar to the natural coat of a young dog. Typically anything from an inch to two inches in length all over (with the private parts trimmed shorter for hygiene purposes). If your looking for a groomer, ask them if they have any other Yorkie clients and if you are able to get references from them and / or see pictures of the work they have done. I wash my dog when he starts to smell I try and not wash him more than once a week unless he's rolled in something yucky and aim for a 10 day - 2 week bath routine. |

| I think it's like with human haircuts, every one will have a different hair-cutting routine, I wish groomers had portfolios with pix of their clients and you could see if you like that particular groomer's tendency... You know what I mean?

| I keep my boy in what I call a puppy cut. Whoever said to specify is right!! If I can offer any advice it is to do a HUGE search for pictures of something you like. There are always pictures of Yorkies on here with puppy cuts. Take that to your groomers and tell them o do that. I learned the hard way that what I thought was a puppy cut was not what the groomer and I were both thinking of. Now I take pictures and I have never been disappointed. Also to answer your original question, I take Murphy about every 2 months to keep him short all over. Let me know if you are interested and I can see if I can find a few threads for you that have good puppy cut pictures. Good luck!
