| Do you know of an airline That doesn't charge a fee if you bring your Yorkie as a carry on? American Airlines charges $80.

| I have called Pam Am and they charge 50.00 but the crate has to stay under the seat in front of you. You can't take the baby out of the crate. On all airlines I have called that is what they told me. I had talked to a lady one time that has a yorkie and she said that she asked her doctor (her personnel doctor) to write a letter stating that the Yorkie was her medicial helper so he could come out and sit on her lap. She said her yorkie never sits under the seat. Always on her lap. Hope I helped a little bit. |

| I think it is ridiculous to charge to carry on a pet when small children can fly for free. If it can fit under a seat, it should be counted as a carry on. |

| I also think its rediculous to charge for dogs as "baggage", since its also considered one of your "carry ons". I wonder what can be done about it though? |

| we deserve more respect. they treat us like dirt. why are dogs treated so badly by the american public? i put up with numerous badly behaved children that should be shoved under a seat without water. lol.. (just kidding mommies of human kids... you know what i mean) |

| OK, I was curious so I called Delta Airlines and asked them a couple of questions. I have flown with a service dog on board and I have also traveled with a pet on board. I was not charged to fly with the service dog and actually the pilot was really nice, we flew from East to West coast. When it was time for us to land he asked everyone to please remain seated so I could get Miriam off first. He told everyone we have been flying all night and she needs to go! LOL. I thought it was awfully nice of him.(and Miriam had to go) These were my questions..... Question #1 Why the fee? It is for the privelage of having your pet with you on board, you would have to pay to have them in cargo. OK. Question #2 I am aloud to have 1 personal item(ie purse) & 1 carry on item(ie laptop, or sm luggage, or backpack) on board, so why if I am paying to have my pet with me, why is that counted as 1 of my carry on items? Answer because each person is only allowed the room for 1 personal & 1 carry on item. It is a space issue.
