| leaving for groomer's in a little while Am I making too much of a deal? My precious baby has a groomer's appointment (his very first one) in a few hours and I'm freaking out...LOL. Couldn't really sleep, I'm afraid he'll cry however I know they'll be gentle, had checked the place out already and it left a really good impression... I don't really know why I'm nervous Had to share, couldn't tell hubby - he thinks I baby Pepper too much already

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I totally underrstand. I am sitting here trying to decide if I should take Cali to my groomers this week/ My Pom goes every 5-6 weeks and I have used the same girl for 2 other Yorkies in the past but Cali is so small and I am afraid for her to be out of my control. She has one twice before with good results but I am always nervous. My pom has to go this week and I just can't decide if I should take Cali too. They look so pretty when they come back. Just be sure you tell the groomers exactly how you want him cut and if he tends to leap out of your arms if not held tight/ Good luck!

| I know how you feel. The same thing happened to me...I got sick to my stomach..I even cancelled their appointment. Then one of my co-workers grooms on the side and she offered to groom them...and whats best she does them at her home...so its one on one and I love it and she only charges me $20 for each which is not bad at all. Your baby will be fine... can't wait to see pics!!! |

| I can relate! When my baby is at the groomers I get like that. Maybe it's because I don't have her near my sight that bothers me? I too wanna see pics!

| Is it possible for you to stay at the groomers while he's getting groomed? Next time Rocky goes, I'm going to request staying there. Not only because I want to see how they treat him when they groom him, but if I hold him he holds still very good (I know I can't hold him while they cut his hair though, lol). If they tell me I can't, then I'll go somewhere else.

| Hi everyone, thanks for the warm words.. I was a little freaking out.But they did a great job, and gave me quite a few hints about his brushing, turns out I did everything wrong!! . I'm at work and will post pix later on tonite, but they snapped quite much ... Doesn't look bad though, a LOT of silver comes through, in fact he looks more like Salt and Pepper now! ...Didn't realize all that treasure hiding beneath the black fur.

| I don't blame you for being nervous. I probably won't have to take Jake for awhile yet, but I don't even like thinking about it. |

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Nervous about going to the groomers... I don't blame you one bit for being nervous! I was a nervous wreck the first time we took Stedman to get groomed. And even though my hubby loves and babys Stedman just as much as I do, he thought that I was a complete NUT for being so freaked out about taking him to get A HAIR CUT. lol Oh well It seems as though I had good reason to be so nervous though, because the groomer that I took him too TOTALLY screwed him up! I was furious! Stedman wasn't happy either...it took him a few days to start acting like himself again HOWEVER - don't let that scare ya, I'm sure the groomer you have chosen will be just fine I got a couple recommendations from some people here in town and I think our next trip to the groomers (I HOPE!) will be a breeze Good luck and be sure to post pics of your baby's new do!!

| pictures Here's what Pepper looks like now... I didn't even realize what mess he was before I compared pix.. . Turned out I was combing him all wrong, they told me I should use soft slicker brush and fine tooth comb doesn't get where the mats were, close to skin. I miss the fluff a little though, he looks so much tinier now. But it'll grow fast, I hope it'll be back to where it was in 1-2 months... He'll get cold quick now so I need to stock up on sweaters

| Awww, what a cutie! He looks adorable. I really like the last pic, the way he's looking right at the camera. Kinda makes you wanna pick him up and snuggle!
