| pretty urgent-do yorkies get muscle cramps? Have anyone noticed their yorkies getting muscle spazes (cramps)? Zoe just had luxating patella surgery approx 2 months ago and today when he ran down the stairs to meet my mom he completely stopped...held his leg up and couldn't move. He looked like he was in so much pain and I realized that its his bad leg in which he got the surgery on. It took a few minutes but he seems to be pretty much back to normal. He's running around, jumping, barking, wanting to play. I did give him 4 small drops of pain killers - metacam because he did not have a good reaction to the other painkiller thats bad to the stomach. I took tomorrow morning off to take him to the vet but I may wait till tuesday to see how he does. Do you think his patella went out of place again or was it a muscle spaz?

| Oh yikes...I sure hope he didn't do injury to his leg! Maybe his kneecap went out of place for a while? Maybe you should try and restrict his running up or down stairs. I suppose he was so excited to see your mom and maybe he stepped wrong. I'm sure no help, huh? I just hope all is well with his leg and it won't happen again. Probably wouldn't hurt to give the vet a call and see what he/she thinks. Maddie sends kisses!
