| Hello Brownies Mum, I joined this site on the 17th of this month, and since have learned so much. I feel as if I have been a member for ages. everyone is so friendly and supportive. I am a Brit who has lived in the States for 40 years, I was a GI bride. We now live in a lakeside town in southwest Missouri. I own a Gift Gallery. Getting Jack was a lifelong dream, my Aunt in England had a Yorkie names Bouncer when I was a child, and I always wanted one. I have had a yorkie/poo a yorkie/chis, and a yorkie/s**tzi , and now for my 60th birthday I treated myself to my dream. His name is Prince Union Jack, and he is everything I always dreamed of in a friend and companion. He greets all of my customers and thinks he owns the joint. Thank you for being interested in us "newbies".

| Hello from a Newbie!!!! Hi!! Thanks for caring about us newbies to the board!!! My name is Jane and my two teenage daughters (age 15 and 17) live in Central Pennsylvania. My husband decided after 19 years of marriage that he would rather live alone so he left us about 6 months ago. The day he left my daughters made themselves feel better by looking up puppies on the internet. You see, he doesn't care for animals much as he has always had severe allergies to them so we were never able to have a pet. Soooo . . . I promised the girls a yorkie as soon as we get a little on our feet. Well, our yorkie will be ready to pick up at the end of May. Her name is Gia. I haven't come up with a registration name yet. Also the girls don't know that I have found her - I am surprising them!!!!!! I love this board, it is so informative and supportive. I will post pictures as soon as I get some. Thanks for caring, Jane |

| Nice to "meet" everyone! Hey there Browniesmom I keep forgetting that I 'm a newbie too!!! I had been just a lurker for awhile and now you can barely pry me off I really have enjoyed being aprt of this forum ,It has given me laughs when I needed them , and just a great place to relax when it seems my world is on overload. I enjoy hearing about everyones yorkies and lives, it has actually enriched mine . I now know what to look for in a breeder and have some much information to keep for the arrival of my little yorkie one day soon ( crossing my fingers) heehee I feel I can say I have been eduacted here..I too was one of the ones who used the term" Teacup" ,just because it sounds so cute.. I always heard that being used for poodles ,so I never thought anything about it for a yorkie or any small breed dog. NOW on the other hand I know that that term could be used as just a selling tactic or for hype .So Yorkie Talk is a great place for meeting other yorkie lovers ..but it is actually a great resource for any person looking to learn about having a toy breed dog. Oops did I ramble again.. |

| Imma Newbie!! Hello everyone, I joined YorkieTalk 2 days ago and have learned so much more here about yorkies than in several books!!! I haven't found my perfect puppy yet, but I hope I will soon. I am currently in Tallahassee and will be graduating this weekend!!! GO NOLES!!! In June my fiance and I are moving to Pennsylvania. I've been pretty busy with finals and planning the wedding (Sept. 3rd) but never to busy to look for puppies!!! Hopefully I will be able to post pics of my own yorkie soon.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Ima newbie I found this site a perhaps a month and a half ago. I did plenty of reading before we got our yorkie. Everyone here is so nice and helpful. I live in Virginia Beach, hence my "name", and in my mid forties. I have one daughter (12), hubby, 3 cats, and a bunny. I love my animals but gotta admit none have stolen my heart as quickly as this tiny bundle of love, Trace. |

| I'm still a newbie too!! I joined this site this month. My name is Melanie, I am nineteen years old... I'll be twenty this December 1st. My husband is Chris, he's twenty years old, and will be twenty-one on December 23rd. My husband is in the US Marines...which most of you already know by my username We live in Yuma, Arizona... and we've been here since December of last year. We don't know ANYONE out here yet... which makes it kinda hard. I was in WV... but I have lived all over the US... my dad works for Ford Motor Company, so we moved around a lot through out my life. And....right now, I am saving up money so I can get a yorkie! And I am very, very excited.... I am driving my husband crazy cause it's all I wanna talk about anymore.... that and YT!! LOL But I think he's starting to get use to me being on here all the time... He said at least I will know a lot about yorkies before I get one for myself! Well... that's just a little about myself! But I am very glad I found this site, because ALL of you on here are very wise and offer excellent advice about everything I need to know!! I am very excited to let you guys know all about my yorkie and post pics when I get her! Melanie |

| Hello All I'm a newbie...my name is Chris and I live in Chesapeake, Va. Iam owned by two yorkies one named Remmy. I have had Remmy since he was a wee pup. He will be three Oct. 27th. I just got a yorkie girl named Silk from a breeder in NC. Silk will be two on Oct 2nd of this year. I really enjoy coming to this site...very informative and I love the layout. It helps to know that there are other people who can give advice on training or just feel your pain. lol Silk I did not get as a puppy so it has been very different from having Remmy. Plus she is a girl with a very different personality. She has quickly bonded with me and she is soooo sweet. I have a lot going on with these two tying to get them acquainted so it is so wonderful to be able to come here and share. |
